This spring the Assembly Festival Garden will return to the UK’s City of Culture to play host to an exciting selection of local food makers, four performance spaces and serve as a new social how for those wishing to make their visit to Coventry.

As part of this, we’re looking to recruit new team members to help bring the Garden to life. If you love culture, people, art, food, drink or a combination of all of these then this is an opportunity not to miss.

As part of the Assembly Festival team in Coventry, you will have the chance to see any of the shows at the Assembly Festival Garden for free, and receive a significant discount at the bars, as well as delivering a packed programme of entertainment. Our staff help make an audience member’s visit truly memorable, whether serving at the bar, selling tickets or seating people, we pride ourselves on making sure every part of the customer journey is a premium experience.

Current vacancies

 

Assembly Festival set the standard for theatre, comedy, and entertainment and is one of the largest multi-venue operators on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In 2021 we partnered with the Coventry City of Culture Trust to deliver the Assembly Festival Garden which played host to an exciting programme of comedy, circus, cabaret, children’s shows and more across three performance spaces from July to September.

After the success of summer 2021, the Festival Garden will return to Coventry from spring 2022.

Front of House Team

We are looking for customer service superstars. Register your interest for these roles based in Coventry at our Assembly Festival Garden.
You should have customer service experience, an interest in theatre and events, be confident and proactive and have a love of helping people. These roles will be required from March until August 2022. Interviews will take place from February.

Box Office Team

We are looking for box office/ticketing superstars. Register your interest for these roles based in Coventry at our Assembly Festival Garden which will run from mid-April to the end of September 2022.

You should have customer service experience, an interest in theatre and events, be confident and proactive and have a love of helping people. Interviews to take place on a rolling basis from February.

The Box Office team are quite often the first point of interaction for guests visiting our site, and are required to have strong communication skills, a keen helpful attitude and be able to answer customer queries.

Bars Staff and Supervisors

We are looking for experienced bartenders to join our team and make an impact. As a bar team member, you will be on the frontline, serving drinks and making our customers day. This role is vital. We expect hard graft and an ability to work in a team with new people, creating a great working environment conducive to an amazing experience. This role requires you to be flexible and mature. Your focus will be on making drinks, dealing with stock, keeping the bar and venue clean, working with other departments and being friendly to customers.

We require all our staff to be over 18 (due to licensing restrictions), have a UK bank account, speak fluent English and have the necessary visa requirements to work in the UK.

 

Technical Staff – full time and local staff pool

We are looking for talented Lighting, Sound and Stage Management as well as general all-round Venue Technicians to work full time on our festival site as well as join our general pool of technicians in Coventry. We're also looking for Carpenters, Scenic Artists and general crew! We have several full-time roles from April til June/September and we're also looking to meet locally based technicians who may have availability for turnarounds/events/extra support where needed so join our pool!
